Views of the Lake Mansion
Dining Room

The porch surrounding most of the house once extended around the whole mansion, but Mrs. Lake extended the dining room to create a solarium. On the wall hangs an 1882 oil painting by McClellan, done from an 1862 photograph. Myron Lake is standing in front of the inn he formerly owned (the Lake House) and his toll bridge. Next to him stands Chief Winnemucca.
